5 Flying Lotus Songs I’m Addicted To…
Flying Lotus is one of the greatest producers of my era. Here are some vibes I can’t stop playing so far.

I’ve been a solid Flying Lotus fan since way back, like 07-08. Honestly, he’s just top 2 and not 2. Straight up. So what I’ve found in discovering my favorite tunes by him is really trusting how much power he can put behind vocals. I enjoy how electronic he’s willing to get with his beats, but there’s something behind his soulful songs that really carry it beyond R&B and into his own lane, which I really respect. Then when it comes to his instrumentals that aren’t vocal heavy, like a good lot of his previous work, you’ll see his talent shine in the glitchy behavior of the beat, the bassline still being sweet, and the harmony of tones blending so smoothly that it’ll make a fan out of any genre-fanatic that hasn’t heard of him yet. So keep scrolling and check it out on a case by case basis and check back in! Let me know what you think.

5Flying Lotus - 1983
This song is so entertaining to vibe to, speaking to how it calms me and hypes my creativity at the same time. I actually remember writing up a paper in high school about how Flying Lotus' music is better than drugs. I think I should revisit that article and republish it, lol. I mean, really, do you hear this ish?? This is still fire, definitely ageless. Pure vibes. Get into it, fam.

4Flying Lotus - Massage Situation
If you watched Adult Swim in the 2009-2011 era, this song played during the bumps heavily, so cheers to you for stumbling upon this throwback GOLD. I love the sample power within the mash up of unrecognizable vocals and how melodic and interesting it comes together just to be such a good song. Flying Lotus for me when I was younger was a prime example that music didn't always need lyrics to be good. Here's my testament toward that.

3Flying Lotus - Coleman's Groove (featuring ANDREYA TRIANA & NIKI RANDA)
Once you hear the song, it explains itself. The baseline carries you into a place where, as FlyLo felt necessary within this collaboration, Andreya and Niki's voice lay perfectly. I agree 1,000%.

2Andreya Triana - Lost Where I Belong (FLYING LOTUS Remix)
This one's an original track by Andreya Triana with the backing of Flying Lotus on the instrumental remix. Hearing her vocals expressed over his classic electronic-soul mix is eclectic enough for me to throw into any of my favorite mixes, and this one can transcend a lot of my playlists, as it has and currently does in my life.

1Flying Lotus - MmmHmm (featuring THUNDERCAT)
Okay, so Flying Lotus teamed up with Thundercat on this record and it was amazing when it was released-- including the visual. Just out of this world, quite literally, by watching the theme of the video solidify that at least someone on the visual production team argued that this music was of another planet.
