This is definitely your favorite producer's favorite producer's favorite producer. Real talk.
A precursor to G Funk, the superstar and innovative producer, songwriter, singer, and pianist Roger Troutman created the pathway and carved out the lane for an endless journey into evolutionary Black music. Using his eclectic Talk-Box skills, another precursor in our culture to what is known today as Autotune, he actually played the keys that his voice is manipulated into. A musical phenom, Roger Troutman expresses his romantic side on the song "I Wanna Be Your Man" released in 1987 during the month of September from his third album, Unlimited!.
