Aaliyah released One In A Million as a single of the same name of the album, on November 26, 1996 after the album was released on August 13, 1996.
The single reached #25 on US Radio Songs, and the album of the same name debuted at #20 on the US Billboard 200, selling a large sum of 40,500 copies in the first week. It was reissued in 2021 and reached #10 on the Billboard 200. It's certified as double-Platinum by RIAA after selling over 3,000,000 copies worldwide.
