One of the most impactful bands in Hip Hop is the number one enemy to the public.
If you want to listen to some earth-shattering Hardcore Hip Hop with slammin' beats and loud lyrics, look no further than heavy-hittin' Public Enemy. It's reported that this song was ignored by radio stations likely for the pro-Black slogans and Black empowerment content.
However by 1987 the album sold over 300,000 copies and by 1989 had sold 400,000. The song is certified Gold by RIAA.
